Nelsons Solicitors have worked in partnership with Vista for several years, supporting local people with sight loss through fundraising and volunteering.

Staff at the Leicester office have taken part in cake sales, monthly office dress down days and the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge. Nichola, Solicitor at Nelsons, said “Being connected to our community is a key part of working at Nelsons, and so we wanted to support a local charity.”

Nelsons also took on the challenge of redecorating the living room at Kathleen Rutland Home, enabling the charity to improve the living environment at minimal cost. The firm organised a cake sale to raise money for paint and equipment needed for the decorating.

Nichola said “Members of staff volunteered to become decorators for the day, and brightened up the home with a fresh lick of paint. We strive to support local causes, and we all really enjoyed helping a charity in the midst of our community.”

Kate Naish, Director of Income Generation, said “We are very grateful for Nelsons’ support in helping us raise vital funds, and the work they have done for us at Kathleen Rutland Home.”
