Vista is a charity supporting people of all ages living with sight loss in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

We know sight loss can be devastating. The services and support we provide help people move forward with their lives feeling more informed, positive and able to live well independently.

The services we offer are informed by the experiences of people using them. Everyone’s experience of sight loss is unique, that’s why we tailor our services so you can get the right support you need, when you need it most.

Vista’s services enable people affected by sight loss to improve:

Independence and choice through meeting you at diagnosis in hospital, providing low vision aids and specialist cane training that gets you out and about with confidence.
Social connections and community links through our community of 8,000 people registered with sight loss, local meet ups and on-line forum.
Health and wellbeing through answering your concerns via our helpline 0116 249 8839 and building your tech skills with our Tech Together Service.

For children and young people, we offer a tailored programme of family activities from 0 – 24 years and information and support for parents and carers.

We also raise awareness of eye health and to prevent unavoidable sight loss through screening and by influencing local health policy.

Paul from Leicester, 60yrs, is registered blind and has been supported by Vista so he can continue to live independently.  Paul says:
