Meet the team

Vista believes that people with sight loss are the experts and best placed to shape what we do to have the greatest positive impact for people living with sight loss.

This is why the experiences of people living with sight loss are crucial to ensure Vista is providing what people need and value. Those experiences, feedback and opinions are front and centre of our decision making, through a combination of:

-  Ongoing input and feedback given by the Vista Forum – a group of local people who use our services and work closely with Vista to continue improving them.

-  Ongoing feedback from everyone who uses our services – which we request on a regular basis and use to help us improve our effectiveness.

-  Lived experience of sight loss across our staff and volunteer team, many of whom live with sight loss, or have loved ones living with sight loss.

-  Vista’s experience supporting local people affected by sight loss for over 150 years.

As a charity, we are legally governed by a Board of Trustees, who are all volunteers – many have lived experience or work in the sight loss sector. We are supported by other volunteers in the community, most of whom give their time, energy, and expertise because of their experiences of sight loss.
