Book Group

If you love books, come to this group to connect with others with a shared interest. Our volunteer-led group meets monthly at the Chapel Café, Bishop Street, Leicester and offers you support in accessing the books via RNIB’s Talking Books scheme.

This group is led by Sharon, who is also a member of the Members Forum.

This months book: The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver

This is a story told by the wife and four daughters of Nathan Price, a fierce evangelical Baptist who takes his family and mission to the Belgian Congo in 1959. They carry with them everything they believe they will need from home, but soon find that all of it, from garden seeds to Scripture, is calamitously transformed on African soil.
