As the old king, Edward the Confessor, lay dying in January 1066, the vultures were circling.

Powerful English nobles, a teenage prince from the ancient line of Alfred The Great, William of Normandy, and two Viking warriors all had their eyes on the throne of England.

You’ve heard of 1066; you’ve heard of the Battle of Hastings.
