Adam Collin, a budding DJ who we support, was treated to a tour around BBC Radio Leicester.

Having previously spoken live on air with Jim Davis as part of Children in Need, Adam was invited to receive the VIP treatment and find out what happens behind the scenes.

The tour included visiting the office where local news stories are compiled together, the interview room which broadcasts on East Midlands Today, and the high-tech recording studios.

Adam, 16 years old, said "The tour was really good, I realised that so much work goes into finding news stories, recording radio programmes and putting everything together. Some of the techniques Jim showed me were great - I’d love to do some DJ-ing on the radio, just to get myself out there."
