A Leicester visually impaired bowls club is looking for new members
The Leicester visually impaired bowls club is looking for new members. It is a club for people who are blind and partially sighted, and it is led by volunteers. The club play mid-week matches throughout summer all over the county.
Volunteers pick up the players and help them with bowling. No experience is required and it’s a great way to meet new friends whilst taking part and learning the game of bowls.
Chris, a member of the bowls club said;
“I’ve enjoyed meeting lots of new people and learning something new as I’ve never bowled prior to sight loss. The reaction from other people when they see what a person with sight loss can achieve is priceless!”
