We're pleased to announce the appointment of the new Chair of Trustees and three new Trustees.

As a local charity supporting over 12,000 children and adults in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, many of our trustees have a personal experience of sight loss, and have had distinguished careers in industry, education and healthcare.

We're extremely proud of our strong Board of Trustees, who accept ultimate responsibility for directing the affairs of the charity and ensure that we remain solvent, well-run and meet the needs of our service users and to ensure effective succession planning, and introduce specific skills and experience to the board, we have now appointed three new trustees.

Pauline Tagg MBE has been recruited as Chair of Trustees and has been Chair of East Midlands Ambulance Trust since 2013. Pauline has worked in the acute sector of the NHS for over 35 years as a nurse, midwife and senior manager.

Maddy Kennedy
 has also been appointed as a Trustee. She worked in finance roles for a variety of commercial companies before setting up her own business.

Rob Hogan has been appointed as a Trustee and is an optometrist, with a career of 38 years working in academia, his own practice, hospitals and large corporate organisations.

Jean Voller has also been appointed as a Trustee and is a highly experienced (recently retired) head orthoptist, with over 43 years’ experience. Having worked at St James University Hospital in Leeds and Leicester Royal Infirmary, in her vast career she has created new services and introduced new technology to improve the standard of patient care.

Susan Hoath, Chief Executive of Vista added;

"We're delighted to have Pauline, Maddy, Rob and Jean join our Board of Trustees and are excited about the wealth of experience they will bring to Vista and the difference we can continue to make to the lives of people with sight loss".
