Vista looking to improve opportunities for rural communities

Leicestershire-based charity Vista is hoping to improve opportunities for rural communities with a new partnership, Work.Live.Leicestershire.

Thanks to funding from the Big Lottery Fund and the LLEP, Vista will be running 16 events across Hinckley and Bosworth, North West Leicestershire, Melton and Harborough.

People in rural communities will have the chance to share their views about the benefits and challenges of travel, volunteering, training and skills development, enterprise and employment where they live.

Paul Bott, Chief Executive of Vista said

“We have a great partnership who are bringing their skills to listen to the hopes and aspirations of people, so that we can build the understanding of what engages people and what enrages people living in rural communities.

Vista has been supporting the people of Leicestershire for over 150 years. We know that Leicestershire is a great place to live and we believe that everyone in Leicestershire should have the opportunity to work, live, and get involved in their communities.” Vista will be working in partnership with CASE, De Montfort University, Go Travel Solutions, Ideas to Impact, Leicestershire County Council, Pop Up Care Clubs, Princes Trust, Rural Communities Council, VAL and WEA.
