Want a new outfit for a fiver? We have opened our fourth charity shop, located on Bell Street in Wigston town centre.

The doors were officially declared open on Friday 16 December by Mary Brewin, a lady supported by Vista. The opening was attended by other Vista supporters, including Practice Manager Steve from Henry Smith and Hamylton Opticians, who have a longstanding partnership with the charity.

The shop will be selling high quality donated goods, including clothing, books and furniture. Men, women and children’s clothing will be sold for £1 to £3 per item.

The shop will also stock a selection of assistive technology for people with sight loss, such as large button telephones and talking clocks.

Sally Thomas, Retail Operations Manager, said "This is a really exciting venture for Vista. We are selling clothing for rock bottom prices – you can easily get your festive outfit sorted for a fiver! Pop in and take on our five pound challenge.”

“This is also our first shop to sell furniture, and so we urgently need stock donations to make it a success. We can collect your furniture for free, or if you are interested in purchasing an item, we can deliver for a small cost.”

The shop is located at 5 Bell Street, Wigston, LE18 1AD, and will be open Monday to Saturday, 9am – 4:30pm.

If you complete the five pound challenge, send in photos of your brand new outfit to marketing@vistablind.org.uk, tweet us or get in touch on Facebook.
